Getting Started — App 2.0 for iPhone, iPad & Android | A Step-by-Step Guide

The CloudPets app is frequently updated, and these instructions might be slightly different from the latest version of the app.

Step 1 — Insert Batteries 

  1. Use a small screwdriver to open the battery cover.
  2. Insert 3 'AA'/LR6 batteries (not included).
  3. Turn the power to the "On" position.
  4. When the toy is powered on, the heart will blink intermittently or flash once. 

Step 2 — Download & Install the App

Go to the App store on your device, and search for the “CloudPets App.” You can also visit this link.

 Step 3 — Set Up Your Account 

  1. Open the app and tap the “Create an Account” button. Accept the terms and conditions, and enter your account information. Then tap “Create an Account.”
  2. Shortly, you’ll receive an email asking you to verify your account. You can tap the verification link on your computer or on your mobile device.

Step 4 — Connect Your Device to Your CloudPet 

  1. Make sure your CloudPet is turned on and nearby.
  2. Return to the app and tap the “Continue”
  3. Select the image that looks like your CloudPet. Give your CloudPet a name, and tap “Connect to your CloudPet.”
  4. The app will now search for, and connect to, your CloudPet. Once it’s found, confirm that your CloudPet’s heart is blinking, and tap “yes.”
  5. Squeeze the red symbol on your CloudPet’s right hand to confirm the connection.
  6. Depending on your CloudPet, the app might need to run a Firmware update. This is automatic and should only take a few minutes. At the end, you’ll be instructed to turn your CloudPet off and on again before continuing.

Step 5 — Create Your Child’s Profile 

  1. You’ll automatically be taken back to the Add A New Child Profile screen, where you’ll enter your child’s name, username and birthday.
  2. Tap “Next” to save your child’s profile. You’ll then have the opportunity to add additional children’s profiles to your account. When you’re done adding profiles, select “No” and you’ll be taken back to the home screen.

*Note: If you’d like to add multiple CloudPets to your account, begin at Step 4 for each CloudPet.

 

 

CloudPets 1.0 App Instructions

Step 1 - Insert Batteries

    Note: When the toy is powered on correctly, the heart will blink or flash once. 

Step 2 - Download the App (1.0 App is no longer available to download)

  1. Go to the App store on your device. 
  2. Search for the "CloudPets App".
  3. Download the free app. 
  4. View the full list of compatible devices here

Step 3 - Set Up Account

  1. Open the app and select the “get started” button from the home screen

  2. Select “Create Parent Account”.

  3. Put in your email address, choose a password and select “Create an Account”.

  4. If you'd like to add a profile picture, now is the time to do that.

  5. You'll see an email verification pop-up, and you'll receive an email asking you to verify your account. You can tap the verification link either on your computer, or on your phone or tablet.

Step 4 - Connect to Your CloudPet

  1. After you’ve verified your account, go back to the app and select the “Continue” button.

  2. Tap “I Want To Set Up My CloudPet”. 
  3. Choose the CloudPet that looks like yours, then give your CloudPet a name, and tap "Next".

  4. The app will now search for, and connect to your CloudPet. Once the two are connected, your CloudPet's heart will blink.

  5. Tap "Use This Toy".

  6. Now add your first child's profile information. If you'd like to add a profile picture, now is the time.

  7. Tap "Save Profile", and continue adding additional profiles, if you would like. When you're finished adding profiles, tap "No", and you'll be directed to the CloudPets Dashboard.

    I had the trouble, when I did for one of my friends.Then I used her different email to redo it again, then worked.

     

    <What would be my Bluetooth password I can't connect

    No necessary to put a password for your bluetooth, when you get the message, more likely your device is not compatible.

    Only apple app has more new songs and stories, not for android yet.

    If it won't let you verify the email, redo it with a new email address. It did work for me when I helped my friend's.

    When I enter my child's name and birthday and click connect, it tells me something's gone wrong.  I cannot connect, no matter how many times I try :-(.

    Hi Aldasykes, 

    Did you get a verified email from Cloudpet?   If not, you better try to use other email address that may solve the problem.

    Won't let me add a child's account to set it up tried 10000 times?

    I think their servers are very busy - I can't send any messages to my child's inbox.  Unfortunately, trying to fix the problem, I deleted her profile, and now it won't let me create a profile again.  Very disappointing.  She can send a message to me though!

    If you have any problems with signing up, you better create a new account with new email address. More likely it will solve the problem.

    I have created an account without having to verify my email (not good). But now I cannot create a profile. I hope this is sorted soon.

    You may need to clear the browsing history, cache, and cookies, then you can try it gain with a new email address.
